About Me
Hi there,
I am Erica Vizena-Arnaud, MSN, FNP-C, ABAAHP. Thank you for taking the time to learn about HEALING PATH CLINIC (HPC). Important factors about myself include living in Southern Louisiana, being a mother of four girls, having a close relationship with God, and appreciating a 19-year marriage to my high school sweetheart. Core values that shape HPC include faith, holistic healing, and a profound understanding that homeostasis can win the race against illness if the body is put in the right condition. I am so thrilled to have an opportunity to serve my community in this way.
My journey as a registered nurse began in spring of 2010, upon graduating from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette (ULL). To better serve patients, I returned to ULL once again, for completion of the family nurse practitioner program in May of 2022. My background as a registered nurse includes acute care settings and academia. Working directly with clients in the conventional primary care space, as an FNP, has been so rewarding. However, I quickly discovered care gaps in our current chronic disease management model. For example, at present the model aims to reduce symptoms rather than eliminate causes and the typical conventional appointment lacks the time clients truly need to fully work on specific wellness treatment plans, such as discussing specialized diets and lifestyle modification techniques.
In that spirit, I sought additional training and certification to build a new "toolbox" for chronic disease management. HPC aims to improve these care gaps. I am so excited to share these holistic and integrative approaches with my community. Through advanced healthcare technologies and transformations, the goal is to ameliorate chronic diseases associated with aging. These approaches employ specialized diets, supplementation, behavioral changes, sleep improvement, stress management, and a variety of specialized functional testing.
